Across the region, the pattern was consistent consumer technology had penetrated markets that lacked basic healthcare access. For Justin Fulcher, it was the clearest possible picture of a solvable problem. RingMD, which he incorporated in Singapore in 2013, was the response. The platform gave patients a structured way to find and connect with providers based on location, price, ratings, and insurance. From Asia to the United States
Fulcher sold a majority stake in RingMD in 2018 and managed the transition that moved the company’s headquarters from Singapore to Boston. The US relaunch in 2019 prioritized government and institutional clients, a deliberate shift from the consumer-facing marketplace model that had worked in Asia. When COVID-19 arrived the following year, Justin Fulcher offered a free white-labeled version of the platform to healthcare providers worldwide, describing the moment as one that took telehealth from optional to essential.
